Brotherhood's singleplayer was really lacking, the multiplayer was good but not enough to make it stand out more, anything Revelations added was either useless or made the experience worse (FYI It wasn't a 10/10 all around release, in fact the average review was 7/10 so the price of the game dropped in release week to 40$). That and Brotherhood came out in late 2010, it's the PC port that came out 2011. Not to mention in terms of Single player the funnest thing is the platforming, everything else has been done better in other games like Batman Arkham City (which improved its gameplay from Asylum), which come to think of it is the only one I know that does.Ponch said:How has Assassin's Creed not gotten any votes?!
Because Revelations blew goats. They finally crammed in so much other stuff, that they forgot the essentials of their assassination sandbox game. Tower defense? First person geometric platforming? Backstory revealed through boring exposition rather than gameplay like everything else in the series? Cart battles? What is all this nonsense, I ask you. While Altair was perfect, and Ezio's story was well done, the game would actually be better if they had left Desmond's sections out of the game. And to think I bought that instead of Skyward Sword or Skyrim...bah.Ponch said:How has Assassin's Creed not gotten any votes?!
It's practically the same game as uncharted 2. it's only a good game because uncharted 2 was a good game. I love the uncharted series, but the safeness of the series kills it for a lot of people, at when talking GOTY material. it's the same reason why gears of war 3 isn't do so well either.bacchus1234 said:Is there NO love for Uncharted 3? In my opinion it's a fantastic game albeit not a significant upgrade from previous entries from the franchise. However, why break wasn't isn't broken?
To be honest though, I picked Uncharted over Portal 2 by a coin flip and several other games were very close as well right behind those such as Deus Ex and Resistance 3 (which is conspicuously missing from this list btw.) .
Give Escapist users some credit - our memories aren't that short.ace_of_something said:I wonder how many of us would've picked Skyrim if it came out in January... It's just like the Oscars it seems.
