The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett, hands down.

Never before have I looked at a book and described it as appetizing, but this one just looks delicious.

Has to be that version, though. The other cover doesn't look even remotely edible.

Does the Necronomicon count?
Sure, it doesn't have to be a "real" book. A fictional book within a fiction book is fine too.

Are we also assuming we assume some unique properties from said book?
Yes, you may absorb their essence as well as their pages. But it might have unexpected side-effects as well as intended ones.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory might be extremely tasty, but it could turn one into a blueberry. Or an oompa loompa. Or both.

Hmm, I'm caught between my copy of The Canada Flight Supplement for November 25th 2004 through January 20th 2005, because it looks like it would make a hearty meal, and my copy of Aristotle's Poetics, because it's thin enough that I could manage it with relatively little difficulty. Man, hard choices suck.

Either this if i'm felling fancy:
the book itself is probably about half as delicious as the foods in it ( or at least look like it would). Seriously go look at this stuff [http://foodporndaily.com/pictures/honey-crisp-apple-almond-wafer-stack-dulce-de-leche-ice-cream-and-apple-crema/]

Or if I really stopped caring:
the book itself probably has the same number of calories as a corn dog pizza(which is one of the dishes in it)

Well, I believe I would like to start with a Julius Caesar salad, with a bowl of Chicken Soup for the Soul afterword. Then as a main course, I would like Green Eggs and Ham. And for dessert I think might try that James and the Giant Peach Cobbler I've heard so much about.

Oh, and to drink, I'll take some Black Coffee.

Any books is fine as long its page is made from sugar paper.
I got a spy kit once when I was a kid. It came with sugar paper and a pen with edible ink. I never did much with that part of the kit, but I did try the paper. It was nasty as shit, lol.

Anyway, I'd eat one of those little tiny books you get at the check-out in Barnes and Noble. The ones about as big as a stack of post-it notes and have little jokes or quotes inside. That way I'd have as little to eat as possible :3

But if the book somehow had taste relating to its content...Harry Potter. Maybe I'd get magical powers from it!

Either that or one of those tiny bibles where one dot is two pages.
I'm not sure how people would like someone eating the Bible, it could be considered sacrilegious...

Or it could give you superpowers.

Mmm, forbidden fruit. How ironic to consider the bible itself as an example of such.

I'm salivating at the thought of it.

I think I'm actually going to have to eat a tiny bible at some point in my life. I won't be complete without it.

I would eat Lord of the Flies, think of it as revenge for having to read it three times in high school. WHO HAS THE CONCH NOW *****!
Sucks to your Asth-mar, I only had to read it once in summer school.

OT: Since I find bread to be bland, I'd have to find the shortest, smallest book possible, and like soak it in water for quick ingestion

If one were to eat Genesis, would that create a paradox?

Because it would be 10.000x better than eating those recipes.
No. I refuse to believe this exists. This is my refusing-to-believe-this-exists face. Because I refuse. There is no way. No. Just no.

Phantom Tollbooth.

Because they have words that are delicious, hopefully it'll translate to food
