Excited Toombs is exited. If the Mass Effect Multiplayer is anything like I hope it will be, I'm actually kindof looking forward to it now.
I loved Cortana! *disgust* I'm insulted by the notion that adding a pair of synthetic tits to a character is going to make me like her more or less than I already did. I enjoyed EDI's banter with Joker. I never once desired to fuck her. Christ, when can we stop the marketers and panderer's from ruining good, functional things (like games) that worked fine the way they were.undeadsuitor said:Plus EDI was part of the Normandy 2 which is now defunct and replaced with an Alliance Normandy 3. Which..I'm guessing wouldn't be built to house an A.I. So, in order to still be apart of the crew she would have to have a mobile housing, and since shes interesting in learning more about humans, why not make it a human body.ravenshrike said:EDI is a full AI in a platonic relationship with Joker. Perhaps she merely created the body to give Joker's psyche a tangible object to tie her intelligence to rather than "the ship". Either that or she wanted something more mobile and able to interact with others than the ship to house her intelligence in.Raiyan 1.0 said:Say, Bioware, why don't you talk about what you've done to EDI, hmm?

Sure, it's a little fanservicy.(honestly it could have been worse) But hey this is the game with an entire race of bisexual blue space lesbians who live 1000 years and whose past time is mind sex. Played completely straight. If Bioware can make Asari endearing characters who you can relate to (I cant tell you how many times the Salarian and his asari daughter in law have tugged at my heartstrings) then I have no reservations that they'll make robot-lady EDI work was well.

I am rather confused, moreso by the fact that this hasn't been mentioned for 2 Pages now.
The EDI thing is rather odd as well though...
The release date is still March 9.TheNumber1Zero said:It looks interesting I suppose, and since my brother has demanded I obtain my own copy so we can do the Multiplayer I truly hope it's rather interesting, but the only thing about I'm actually truly curious about it is the last little snippetDid they push back the Game? Makes no sense.
The EA Origin Licensing Agreement is actually rather user-friendly. It lists in bold all the hot-button areas of controversy with their terms, and they've changed them to be more accessible overall.CounterAttack said:Aye, same... I don't trust it for a second, unless someone can confirm that it is not in fact highly intrusive. Or any of the other things people have said about it.Roganzar said:This just makes me want ME3 more.
I'm going to have to, extremely grudgingly, allow Origin on my PC. *choking on my own bile*

See bioware. This is what happens when you listen to fan boy/girls on BSN( I would have at least thought people would have worked that out after dragon age 2 ). I swear right now that body is heading out an airlock along with the Turian council member and the IM.Raiyan 1.0 said:Say, Bioware, why don't you talk about what you've done to EDI, hmm?

I really want to make a pic of Shepard and his gang in one of those "hippie vans", with the subtitle "Saving the universe, one joint at a time", but I'm terrible at art and photoshop.m72_ar said:I'm actually quite looking forward to the MP now.
It doesn't look bad, and an intergalactic war is not something that can be won by just 1 guy and his party van.
It will be very interesting to see what "the other guys" are doing while Shephard is flying around mining minerals.
Actually, the multiplayer sounds like a great way to flesh out the universe, show some of the battles that aren't just happening on Shepard's end.Andy Chalk said:Sure, and if I had a Ferrari in the driveway I could get to work in six minutes.Soviet Heavy said:Actually, if it had a storyline similar to the Meet the Team videos, hell yes I would like that.
You can tack anything on to anything, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to add anything of value to the original. Mass Fortress 3 might be a blast, but does it really serve the series? I say no.
My point is EDI was never a robotic femme fatale. Equating EDI to Maria from Metropolis is a bit like casting Megan Fox as Mother Teresa in an NC-17 biopic.Zachery Gaskins said:So Tricia Helfer resumes her typecasting as a robotic femme fatale. The same reason that point and shoot cameras make a shutter noise - it'll have been based on a peice of tech that did once make that noise and now people expect itHopefully by then I'll be able to figure out why Shepard's omni-blade makes that metallic "shink" sound when he turns it on.

Though, in the last few seconds before it goes to the picture of shepard, there is one character running forward shooting an assault rifle as part of the PC squad that looks a lot like a Geth
