Ahh, the joys of a modded Morrowind.

My computer might be painfully outdated, but I can still play Morrowind with a few graphic enhancing mods if I want to (along with a truckload of other mods adding new elements to the game).

One thing that makes me pissed though is seeing that Fallout 3 is starting to get a more and more extensive mod community. I've played a lot of Fallout 3 on my PS3 and it would be awesome to see what you can do with it with a bunch of mods.

Morrowind is far and away my favourite game of all time, and was the game that made me a gamer. Needless to say, I will be downloading this.

This is great! Morrowind is among my top 3 favorite games, I played it on the old Xbox so much back in the day. I'd bought the GOTY on PC over the summer, and worked on installing a bunch of the mods in this package, but must've installed one mod too many because the game started crashing and I didn't want to have to go back and re-do everything. With this I'm gonna give it another go and hopefully get to experience Morrowind again in current-gen glory.

Meh, I was impressed until the video went inside. I like the vegetation a lot, but the interiors look worse than vanilla.

Looks nice but I think remaking Morrowind as Oblivion mode would be better idea. That would maybe make me like the game.

I reckon it would be less painstaking too
There were modders working on that actually. They managed to convert the world to the Oblivion Engine, but then Bethesda axed the project.

Seems so long as you make everything from scratch its all good, but if you try to convert anything it'll get axed. You can still convert mods to each game though, so long as their 100% user-made and you get permission from the original creators.
Which was dumb. Bethesda should have pulled a Valve. Hired the guys , had them finish it, and sold it as Morrowind 2008 Edition. Everyone would have bought a copy.

God I love morrowind. Was my first taste of the elder scolls games. It still has a place in my heart. Never before had I played a game of such scope and choice. Was mind blowing back then. I have never found a game since that sucked me in like it did. Ok now I am getting nostalgic I kind of wish I could go back to those days. Ah time what cruel mistress she is.
Took the words right out of my mouth. I recommend Morrowind to anyone with patience. Starting out is the worst part. It gets so great.

Anyone else feel it's weird to call a game released in 2002 a classic? I still don't call PSone games classics.
Morrowind was a classic the day it was released. Some games are instant classics.

Video descriptions, my friend. FRAPS (the recording software) had a hissy fit when made to film MGE, so everything came out darker and laggier than expected.

Indeed. Especially if they touched up the combat. Like adding a block button. That alone would have done wonders.

Although it is nice, I actually prefer the old graphics. These just look out of place, at least for me. Still, this is good news for most people.
Are you sure it's not just because you were so used to the old graphics? Granted, I would have never thought I'd see trees in Balora, but Seyda Neen looks as a town built near a marshy coastline ought to (imo at least). But hey, to each their own.
Maybe, but also I never liked Morrowind. I prefer the old graphics more, it gave the game a style of it's own. Still, this is good news for most people.
