Haha, dude, ditto, i hate those things, but half life is awesome!!!Anarchemitis said:What are those pet peeve baddies in video games that you hate encountering and yet you're guaranteed to encounter them?
I really hate fast-zombies in Half-Life 2 because they make creepy noises, hurt you and move fast. (The pinnacle of creepy-out-itude stuff) I also don't like Flood Carriers in Halo.

Also any enemy in any .hack that paralyzes or curses you when you hit it.TheNecroswanson said:And then spit me off of a cliff, had to repurchase my shield and tunic. You gots my vote for like likes.VRaptorX said:Like Likes in Zelda. Thy ate the damn shield!
My most hated gentlemen in video games is caught between the exploding cultists in Jericho, and black headcrabs in Half-life2. Faster, jump father, one shot down to one health, AND they get thrown at you by a zombie three blocks down.... Those things are the stuff of nightmares.
Oh God, Data bugs from the original 4 games!! Thanks for bringing that nightmare back!MK-Smash said:Also any enemy in any .hack that paralyzes or curses you when you hit it.
Once you've got high Damage Reflect equipment (and I think it can go over 100%), nothing in Oblivion can possibly threaten you. Seriously. I've stood and watched enemies beat themselves to death attacking my character.Tatter said:Oh yeah, and they gained levels as you did, and got new equipment to match their levels. So it was always a hard fight, unless you had city guards helping you. Of course, if you ever reached a much higher level than the city guards, they were little help against the high level slavers.
See, I -like- things like that. Ok so, them following you to the last boss is a little ridiculous but that would scare me, but not annoy me. That is also one of the few places that Oblivion's "the world levels up with you" didn't totally annoy me. Cliff-racers however exist only to slow down your travels on foot.Tatter said:Cliff racers were just an annoyance in Morrowind. There was this group of ogre slavemasters in Oblivion... by that, I mean a bunch of human mercenaries who kept ogres as slaves. I found out the hard way why the ogres were so obedient... if you got the slavemasters mad, they would literally track you anywhere and show up to kill you at any of the worst moments possible, even following you to the closest thing to the final boss level in Oblivion (Camoran's Paradise), and jumping you at any moment you seemed vulnerable. They would even follow you into the otherwise impregnable houses you can buy, and attack you while you're sleeping. Only by making sure you killed every last one of them (about ten in total) could you ever again relax.
