Ok,

This game i've been thinking about is about 16 years old or so, i believe it was on PS1. It started out as a boy in a town topdown zelda style. eventually you are given a pet monster and told to head off into the dungeon that was above the town. inside you battled monsters to find eggs? with these eggs you could raise and hatch them to find rarer monsters with better stats and properties (like earth wind fire etc) the gameplay was fantastic! kind of had the same feel of diablo when you find a rare item.

Really cant remember the name I know that the cover of the jewelled case was blueish.

The names on the tip of my tongue. My best friend and I spent an entire summer playing it.
Omg I just remembered it!!!!

Ok... this is a tough one.
Its a tank game from the 90s.
Its a turn game, where you could choose through different types of ammunition, move your tank around the map to get a better shot, buy new ammunition, etc. You could play it with up to 4 people if i remember correctly...! Oh... and each type of ammunition had a different type of visual effect... I think it was a 3d game, but i'm not sure of it.

Before you said 3D i guessed at "Pocket tanks" or "Scorched Earth",
However the only 3D tank game i can think of from the 90's was Recoil, but I'm sure that didn't have multiplayer

Hi,
What was the name of a very famous game where a monkey collects coins and it has to fight with enemies on its way?
When you say "very famous", I'm thinking one of the Donkey Kong games. However, the coin part threw me off a little bit, as Donkey Kong mostly collects bananas. In the newer ones there ARE such things as banana coins.

---Side Scrollers---

Donkey Kong Country (SNES) - No Banana Coins
Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) - Has Banana Coins
Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES) - Has Banana Coins
Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) - Has Banana Coins

---3D---

Donkey Kong 64 (N64) - Pretty sure it has Banana Coins, too
Could also be Donkey Kong Land depending on what console you played on. DK Land you had to collect giant DK coins.

so, i remember a guy with grey\blue hair that was exploring all kind of diffrenet maps. like, i remember the the first stage was in a forest and the first "boss" was a giant mushroom. in order to finish each stage, u had to use stuff that u found on the map. like - u could "take" the walking bombs and throw them at objects or enemies. i also remember that the main charcter was a mouse , and that 1 stage was underwater and 1 was even in a pyramid. sometimes, there were bonus stages to get stars. it was 2D . one enemy i remember was a little man that u had to jump on top of him in order to kill him. towards the end of the game, they turned into robots. i really cant remember this game's name! somthing with S i think

Id really appreciate if any1 could tell me what the name of this game is, despite the vague details.
I think you can start either as a boy or a girl or a girl only, your like a knight and your like in this castle and you like venture off to forests or deserts/valleys fighting off monsters, you encounter griffins and i think it was giant lizards or giant turtles. You are in a group sort of like final fantasy but not the same, the game is like rpg element and in one of the plot was that you went back into your fortress or castle at night and you talk with some one and you get ambushed inside the castle and you have to escape. It was a ps1 or ps2 game i wasnt so sure, but itd mean alot to me if any1 knew the name of this game.
I think that game is Golden sun: The lost age? Maybe? It seems correct because you start in a castle, And have a group ALOT like final fantasy, I believe if you told me what console it is on I could make sure thats 100% Correct. (Golden sun is for the gameboy.)

It was a game, Your a boy (LITTLE boy) with a caveman shirt, And used your head to destroy stuff/enimies, You touched flower like things to go into a bonus level, And you could also fight bosses. You ALSO needed 30 smily coins and you could get hearts (And something like a blue heart that would give you more life) from wierd dinosaur things, if that helps at all. I believe it was a NES/SNES Game called "Bling" Or maybe "Blong". I have not found it.

I don't remember a lot about this game, I was very young, but it's a SNES game,side-scrolling, you're a kind of white knight I guess, uses a sword. I remember that the first level was in a castle, and the second one was in the water, and there was big balls with letters wrote inside (A,B,C) that you had to push into the right places, like this. Sorry, that's all I remembered...

There is another one, SNES too, it was a side-scrolling game that you're a wizard with a staff and a robe and you can use magic to kill enemies, like Megaman. The first levels was in the branch of trees I guess... That's all I remembered too

The first one sounds like Super Ghosts N Ghouls. I have never played it, but the white knight is rather iconic in gaming. The introduction is in a castle, but the first level takes place outside. Then you get into a level with water, not sure if its in the water though.

please help me remember my childhood!

It's this Vertical scrolling shooter that I played on PC (not sure if it was bootlegged or not...)

The setting was somewhat futuristic. You controlled a plane and you were shooting tanks, other craft, and space pods. if you killed enemies sometimes they would drop money (represented by a green $ circle floating around). You could use this money to upgrade your aircraft further.

Here is where i can get descriptive. The main menu had a hangar where you could proceed to the next mission or buy upgrades. some of the things you could upgrade:

- bombs. you could press spacebar and all enemies would take damage. you only had a few bombs at a time
- shields. gain extra health bars on the side of the screen
- plasma cannon - extra damage that appeared as blue blobs in the middle of your line of fire
- automatic cannon - could automatically fire regular bullets at enemies to your side

now for these weapons you could only have one at a time.
- rockets. these standard rockets hit all airborne enemies
- ground rockets. these ones would hit all grounded enemies and buildings
- delayed rockets - these would come out 1 at a time on both sides of your aircraft and was innaccurate, but it could hit both air and ground enemies

more on the game. in the beginning you could choose a difficulty setting. i always chose Rookie (it had a picture of a scrub pilot with glasses)

health was represented by green bars on the right side of the screen. shield health was on the left.

the reason i cant remember the name of this game is because i sucked at computers back then and i accidentally changed the name of the desktop icon.

I can hear the soundtrack in my head! *edit* oh yeah this was back in the 90's on a Windows 98

I joined just to help with this...Fairly sure he was talking about Ecoquest: The Search for Cetus, it's a Sierra game about whales. But I don't remember anything about about an attic. First scene opens where you have to clean a duck or something because it got caught in an oil spill. Anyways, hope this is the game.

This one is killing me. My uncle gave me this game for my bday circa late 80's early 90s. He thinks it was developed by Sierra but I'm not 100% sure on that. Here's what I know

1.) It's about whales (Not Whale's Voyage)

2.) Educational feel for most of it - you can go out and spot different types of whales - decent graphics at the time.

3.) The other part of the game was exploring this old whaling museum. Part mystery, etc.. You could click on Harpoons, look at paintings etc... But it was definitely a "mystery".

4.) Played on Apple 2GS

Any ideas????
I have also been looking for this game for ages and nobody ever replied to this persons post. If anyone might be able to help me that would be great. I have more to add to it.

There was an older game that was almost exactly the same that was completely text based. I played them both but the latter released game is what I am interested in. It is a clue finding game where you can go around your house as well as a museum.

There is a part of the game (the beginning of the original) where your character wakes up in the middle of the night in his new house and a picture of the previous owner (an old whaler) is beckoning to him. because of this the boy goes about wondering about the old mans story.

Eventually he finds enough clues to open the attic and find the old mans diary and stuff.

The game play is very interesting. It is a map of the house/village/musium with all the furniture. you move the character around with the keyboard and press enter next to something to examine it. All examinations and story is of course text, but there are some action comic lick animations.

please help?

Hey guys,
When I was in either first or second grade sometime between 2000-2003 (i'm 17 now), I remember playing an educational game in computer class. I don't remember the main purpose of the game, but I do remember collecting cheese at one point. The game had animal characters, not humans, and I vaguely remember a mouse. Also, the game had a castle/kingdom setting and i'm pretty sure its not any of the JumpStart series. Sorry if this is vague but its all i can remember for now.
