RIP 2.50 headset mic, we knew thee well. I knew it wasn't a stand-in all along, I figured it was a doble whammy of a cold and a different mic. But anynoodles, Screed 2 sounds like the game to get. I'll have to pick it up when they release a port on the PC or something.

people freaked out about the change because they enjoy the yahtzee "character". It's a bit of a compliment really, because people would also go nuts if Seth McFarlane left Family Guy and someone else took over all his voices

"what.. What is this? There's something wrong with the house! I don't like change!"

Yahtzee went through both his AC2 segments without mentioning the QTEs. Guess that means, he liked them?

Well, not that they were very Q...

I hadn't read the comments about his voice in the vid until I read this article...

I gotta say, I have no idea why it would be so hard to believe that Yahtzee just speaks fast, as opposed to using software to speed up his voice that is.

Jim Carry, Robin Williams, Frank Caliendo, damn near any rapper alive, and anyone who has ever worked in a fast food restaurant on a drive through for a month or more can do that. Hell Sean Hannidy has the ability to do it without even breathing or letting others get a word in edgewise, though he might have sold his soul for that power of douche-baggery.

On the actual subject, the game.

This may be a dumb question and could go without saying but if I hated the first one, as in I was thoroughly unamused the entire time and wanted to break something when finished, would the second one even be worth trying? Is it any better or is it about the same concept and idea?

why would you buy a new headset? The Guitar Hero Mic was amazing.

Sorry, I'm a... I dunno, sound-tech-nerd for lack of a better phrase and all I could think of was how much clearer the recording sounded. Also, how if the second Assassin's Creed is too short, how fucking short is it?

I mean, I thought the first one was way too short. So I'm a little concerned about this one.

Although it's about time we got to some future assasining.

im glad for that explanation i was thinking it was either a stand in or he was sick and guess it was the second one, hope he gets well soon i miss the bite that is usually in his voice that seems to have been muffled with phlegm.

Were people really that overly concerned about it? I only mentioned it in my comment because I wondered if it was just me or if he sounded different to everyone else too. And when I say "it was just me" I mean I wondered if it was my speakers or something.

It may sound like a goofy thing to worry about, but when people only know someone as a voice filtered through a head set mic, they have their doubts when said voice changes.

There were people who didn't believe that the marble white elfling with the high pitched voice was really the same Michael Jackson who did Thriller and Off The Wall even though they could see him...okay, bad example. Still, seeing is...partially believing with a tiny bit of skepticism?

Maybe if you'd made a video response, they'd all be more inclined to believe you.

No, I don't think that filming your middle finger alone would be sufficient.

Wait wait wait. We're all missing the important question.

How does Yahtzee take his raisin toast? I for one love it with Vegemite, and I'm curious as to how he likes it.

But if he says with Branston pickle I'm out of here.

At least you were able to get one comment about the game in, lol. I was surprised when everyone reacted to the slightly different voice the way they did. I'd assume everyone would have done what I did: spend a total of .5 seconds going "huh, his voice sounds different" and then watching the review.
I did that, do I get a cookie? Or a smack in the face for acknowledging that I did in fact, do that?

We all have our off days, can't say I developed any conspiracy theories such as 'kidnapped Yahtzee replaced by stand in' or something equally silly... I simply thought you were going for a new sound!

2.50 for a mic that delivered great voice quality? I'm generally astounded. Anyway, I'm glad he's cleared everything up for every Wane Kerr who seriously believed it was someone different or something ridiculous like that. Of course I took notice of the change, but I dismissed it as either flu or a different recording device. People should be focusing on the bloody review anyway, and it was a fairly good review.

He's referenced Branston pickle a few times throughout reviews O.O That stuff is HORRID. I doubt the goddamn yahtzee would have such poor taste in toast spread anyway, but now we're just nitpicking, as he does.

People actually thought it was a double? Why the always the unreasonable before the sensible? I figured it was the flu, it sounded groggy and stuffy not like a totally different person like in the Halo Wars review where the Unskippable fellow came in

The only difference I noticed was that it was louder than before, which took me aback in some ways.

I will say that, after listening to his videos as background noise while doing other things, I do notice the "evolution" of his voice as the series went on. You'd have to parachute triple-c*nted hookers into my room, wielding jars of Branston Pickle, high on nitrous-oxide, accompanied with imps riding charismatic stallions to convince me that any ZP video will have a Yahtzee doppelganger instead of the real deal. Then again, even after all that, I'd still deny it :)

That's what I figured happened. I didn't know there were conspiracy theories.

As for the breathing, just lean away like the Chocolate Rain guy.

Oh snaps! Thanks for answering my question Yahtzee. I'll consider looking into purchasing AC2 more now since you and a few other people said that is was a good game as well. -tips hat-

I posted at GameStooge that it sounded like he was ill.

"The one thing off about Ben?s review of Assassin?s Creed II ? his voice sounds high pitched and nasally, like he had a bad cold."
