So I forget, is PETA an activist group, or are they now just designers of parody games?

Neither. PETA is the stupid kid that sniffed glue and always got beat up in school and dreamt of being a big shot later in life, but ended up with "serving burgers at McDonalds" as his life's biggest achievement before getting brain damage in a work accident, ending his making a fool of himself as a crazy homeless person.

While I do believe there ought to be more government regulation on how animals are treated in slaughterhouses, I think PETA is way too far up it's own ass to do anything positive for the cause. Also, you don't have to be vegetarian (and you especially don't have to be vegan) to treat animals decently.

Not to mention there's a ton of hypocrisy within PETA.

Seriously? I really hate this sort of thing, not so much that this game makes you beat up on a hunk of meat and likely killing it, not the fact that they are being childish, not even the idiocy of the parody itself. Its that an omnivore consciously chooses to ignore half of the available diet that their body allows for, and this will somehow improve your... lovemaking like some kind of wonderdrug is beyond baffling. Do they really have so little support for their lifestyle that they are forced to resort to trotting out the naked women and resort to these stupid games?

I have heard a lot of weird, seemingly unbackable claims by vegans, such as they are smarter or healthier. well when Pam Anderson is your poster girl, i don't really think you get to claim vegetarians have higher intelligence now do you PETA?

This looks like something that, were it made by anyone else at all, I would find funny. Seriously.

PETA is the reason (okay, so just a main reason) why people assume that just because I've been a vegetarian for a decade, I'm going to be some raging anti-everything lunatic. Another thing...
This destroys the kind of touching story about Meat Boy and bandage girl. I like the simplicity of it all and the cuteness of the two. Then this piece of tofu comes along and just takes her? Did they even play Super Meat Boy?

And this game sucks. The controls are unresponsive and the scrolling camera is far too fast.

So far, the only Pro-Vegan thing I've seen is from Scott Pilgrim, and well, when all it takes to beat you is one drop of non-vegan approved products, that's more of a very heavy con.

Too bad they didn't release this on Thanksgiving though, I think I ate half a ham that night, which is way more satisfying than some bland piece of... white stuff (and I already had my fill of that with potatoes).

Actually, he had three strikes of non-veganness before his Vegan powers were confiscated. So Todd Ingram really kind of dug his own grave there.

...I guess I can be happy, though - this is probably quite a bit of good publicity for Super Meat Boy, to be honest.
