I've only ever dated whites, but seeing as I want to get a shirt that says "Looking for a Japanese girlfriend" in Japanese and being totally serious while wearing it, that should give you a hint that I don't really care about race as long as the girl is likable.

Then...doesn't this suggest that you DO have a preference, it's just been unfulfilled so far? Actively looking for a girlfriend who is of a particular race over any others, and advertising the fact, IS a preference.

Although, I don't know how much success you would have with that kind of T-shirt. Seems...kind of debasing the act of finding a relationship to an advert which girls can apply to. Could be construed as racist and sexist as well, seen as how you will decide, from the number of girls who "apply", who best fits your interests. This is what you'd do anyway WITHOUT a T-shirt, so why?

I get you wouldn't mean this in a bad way, but you have to think about what other people will assume. It could put people off getting to know you, because a Japanese girl might think you're only into her because she's Japanese, not because she's a nice, interesting person.

I can see how that could be a detriment. However, "likable" is the first thing I look for. If someone is a total jerk, I wouldn't be around them plain and simple. Then again, not many people are privy to my thoughts (and fewer would want to be, my head is insane) so I'm just going to end this by saying that you are right.

what matters most to me is not colour, but actual physique.
if i found a girl with the right body (if we're specifically talking about looks here) then as long as she had a personality i liked then i would fancy and date her.
colour and race are out of the question, unless the social group she's in has affected her negatively.

Or is this another case of "hey, I'm America, I'm better than all of you, so we are white people, and white people in European shall now be the European race"?

Well, I'd say White/European. Mainly because Europeans are within reach from my current position so to speak.
Yes, I prefer white girls, and the concept of dating anyone not white/Asian is foreign to me.

I'd also avoid dating anyone from countries where I know they don't age well, Swedes can get away with aging, I've found, but Russian girls (those I've met at least) all start to melt around their twenties.

Now, that's a very shallow thing to say, I suppose, but by the looks of it this thread is about debating the shallow part of dating. I do have some really strict requirements when it comes to personality and such, but those are confidential
