I remember Mortai. I was the guy he was debating when he got banned. That was a moment that shook a lot of people's worlds it seems. Can't say I'll personally miss him though. That debate is still fresh in my memory.

Was it that debate that was more of a three way thing involving yourself, Mortai and.....Kerplunk if I recall correctly? Assuming we're talking about the same thing, it was an interesting thread alright until Mortai when whining to the mod group about being insulted while "forgetting" that he was calling people idiots, sexists and liars in the same thread.

Only one who I actually saw around the forums and kinda miss was Hankman.

All the others I either didn't know, wasn't here for or am glad they're gone. There are a couple people who seem close to a ban, and frankly, I'll be glad to see them go...

Honestly, with the one exception being Matthew94, I don't miss anyone that's been banned.

I can name a few people who I was happy to see the back of, however...

Matthew94 sticks out in my mind partly for ribbing you as an Evil Rule Breaker, but mostly because of the way he commandeered Fappy's old Mao avatar and kept answering/insisting that HE was Fappy.

That was funny, the reactions he got from a lot of people.

Fappy had had his old 'Winking Mao' avatar for so long (and most people don't look at others' names) that Matthew94 actually answered a few others, I think, and they thought they'd been talking to Fappy.

I miss [user]Matthew94[/user]. He was cool.

Having used the dark art of steam chat necromancy to talk to Matthew94 from beyond the grave and he wants it made absolutely clear that the group he was banned over was intended as a joke and not in any way some sort of childish backlash against the moderators. This is something I am told he has explained many times and that he would like it to sink in at some point.

It's good to know he didn't have a meltdown like Danyal or others.

Not to mention he was starting to make mParadox kind of uncomfortable... if I remember correctly... so I'm sure some of his mod friends took notice after that...

Oh you know, the sheer intensity of being intensely loved from thousands of miles away kind of gets to you.

OH and I had nothing to do with his dramatic suspension and banning. That was all him. Classy classy him.

And he also jumped. Or whatever it is ya'll are calling it. Made another account, mods found out(not through me mind), that one got banned too.

*sighs* I miss the drama. It was silly. But fun. For me. It was probably emotionally horrifying for him. >.>

Heh, yeah it all seemed a bit too real for him... seeing as how I remember at one point he was telling you that he loved you... xD

same with the banning too... taking it all personally cause he got in trouble for posting porn once, if I remember correctly...<.>

But Darkspectar was always fun in the forum games. He just had that sense of humor that can be mistaken for abuse. Tone is really hard to convey over the internet.

Yeah that and by his third suspension he might as well have been calling out the mods by name and laying out as many specific insults he could before the ban hammer came...<.<

Ehh, I remember a couple or three, for various reasons.

I remember Necroswanson who seemed like a normal internet guy, but he made an angry post too many. I remember NoMoreSanity, who was a decent guy when I spoke to him but probably deserved his banning. I remember MaxtheReaper, forum celebrity of a couple years back. I remember Furburt, now running his own forum with Hubilub. I remember Indigo_Dingo, mostly because of his 10000 post review of the Escapist. I remember Darth Mobius and Darth Empyrean, a forum couple. I remember Zeeky Santos and Fish Food Carl and Lord Cuthberton and RAKtheUndead and Richard Groovy Pants and Sean Hollyman and Swollen Goat and WanderFreak and Mathew94 and Avykins and IdealistCommi (who became Rocket Dog) and Demented Teddy and Pararaptor. I remember Mortai Gravesend.

I mean, you stick around for a while, you tend to remember the people who make a name for themselves by getting themselves banned, as well as those who simply gravitate away.

I don't remember why they were banned and I don't glorify them either - many were banned for good reasons. I simply remember they existed.

Often times it may seem like someone you used to talk to has mysteriously disappeared but that is just your imagination playing tricks on you, these people never existed in the first place.

Any so called "proof" of their existence is naught but clever forgeries and hoaxes created and perpetrated by enemies of the state.

You can't remember people that don't exist. Go on, shoo, get back to playing your video games. There is nothing for you here.

The only one whose presence I continually notice to be absent is Hankman, the one liners on every news post never got old.

I generally just point and go ha at most people who I see getting banned. There are a few cases where I'm a little sad or I wish that I had gotten a chance to know the person, but there are very few cases like that because I've yet to see someone get banned who I knew fairly well.

She was nice, and I'm unsure as to why she left.

Upon finding out Mortai Gravesend got kicked off, I was, If I'm honest, fairly happy, he was kind of a douche. Danyal wins the award for going out like he came in, kicking and screaming, and lillithslave was a crazy prima-donna who went out in the most self-important way I have ever seen.

Oh, and Zeel?
What can be said about Zeel that hasn't already been said? The man, the myth, the LEGEND of Zeel. Da.

I'm still waiting on one paticular troll to be booted from this site, rather expctantly, however there is a method of being a dick that the mods will ignore, seemingly. Naming no names.

Ah yes, the mods. Can we not just have robot mods who have to stick directly to the terms of discussion or whatever? Nine times out of ten, reporting does nothing because the Mod fins it funny or something. There are plenty of people who've been banned for minor stuff whilst talking to people who were being far worse. Whilst the moderation on this site is probably better than any other site like this, it's still not great.

I sort of miss Zeel.

His unbelievable idiotic arguments had their fun in retrospective.
His tendency to caps lock when he got cornered in his own argument was... sort of cute I guess.
His way of being, always contesting others for no reason than to constest was a bit annoying but otherwise ok.
The way he trash-talked and insulted everyone, and I mean everyone, was retarded.
The unpleasent way he repeated himself to nausea was cringe inducing.

How do you characterize 'great' moderation when you consider the moderation on this site to be better than any other site like it?

That struck me as the oddest thing of all--being so ticked off at someone you burn your own bridge out of disgust with him?

Of course that was LONG before I started following the Mod Forum chat room.

As far as bannings I remember, besides the two above I remember Raktheundead and Bonsaik the most. Rak because his relationship threads were always hilarious, and Bonsaik because he had a lot of good advice for people
