Ooh, that's one that I remember! PercyBoleyn! Peculiar chap. Only got into one argument with him. He ended up saying that my parents should have been castrated. I had to ask FalloutJack to help me out dealing with him.

Of course not. As my friends fall, my power just becomes stronger. Soon I shall be all-powerful. And I'll absorb all of their hate too so I'll have turned into a proper bellend.

There are no banned users you crazy person.

Often times it may seem like someone you used to talk to has mysteriously disappeared but that is just your imagination playing tricks on you, these people never existed in the first place.

Any so called "proof" of their existence is naught but clever forgeries and hoaxes created and perpetrated by enemies of the state.

You can't remember people that don't exist. Go on, shoo, get back to playing your video games. There is nothing for you here.

The only one whose presence I continually notice to be absent is Hankman, the one liners on every news post never got old.

I can't remember all of their names, so I won't post them. But I've been around long enough to remember some really great people on here. There were some who really defined the Escapist experience that brought me here in the first place.

So, yeah, a drink to them.

Captcha: "Coors: describe this brand with any word(s)"

NO, COORS, NOT YOU!!! I meant Kool-Aid, dammit.

My word was "terrible."

EDIT: Okay, fine, here's one for you: IndigoDingo. If you remember that name, you've been here a while.

I generally just point and go ha at most people who I see getting banned. There are a few cases where I'm a little sad or I wish that I had gotten a chance to know the person, but there are very few cases like that because I've yet to see someone get banned who I knew fairly well.

The only person I miss is Boudica.
She was nice, and I'm unsure as to why she left.

Upon finding out Mortai Gravesend got kicked off, I was, If I'm honest, fairly happy, he was kind of a douche. Danyal wins the award for going out like he came in, kicking and screaming, and lillithslave was a crazy prima-donna who went out in the most self-important way I have ever seen.

Oh, and Zeel?
What can be said about Zeel that hasn't already been said? The man, the myth, the LEGEND of Zeel. Da.

I'm still waiting on one paticular troll to be booted from this site, rather expctantly, however there is a method of being a dick that the mods will ignore, seemingly. Naming no names.

Let us reflect upon who put them there when some of them never deserved it.
Ah yes, the mods. Can we not just have robot mods who have to stick directly to the terms of discussion or whatever? Nine times out of ten, reporting does nothing because the Mod fins it funny or something. There are plenty of people who've been banned for minor stuff whilst talking to people who were being far worse. Whilst the moderation on this site is probably better than any other site like this, it's still not great.

I sort of miss Zeel.

His unbelievable idiotic arguments had their fun in retrospective.
His tendency to caps lock when he got cornered in his own argument was... sort of cute I guess.
His way of being, always contesting others for no reason than to constest was a bit annoying but otherwise ok.
The way he trash-talked and insulted everyone, and I mean everyone, was retarded.
The unpleasent way he repeated himself to nausea was cringe inducing.

(Lots and lots of rants latter...)

And that's why I would dance in his grave.
Wait, what was I talking about?

I knew it was just a matter of time before someone started growling at the Mods. FalloutJack and now you.

How do you characterize 'great' moderation when you consider the moderation on this site to be better than any other site like it? :)

Ooh, I kind of want to see the thread where Boudicca got banned now.

Also, a lot of these people getting banned makes me sad. They added colour to the forums.
This is the thread [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/7.389334-The-Philippines-Outlaws-Trolls-Cybersex#15609139] where her final meltdown began. She raged at Grey Carter--the mind behind Critical Miss--for using the term "cam whores" in reference to women who were forced/used in on-line sex shows.

Then she took her argument to the Mod Forum chat room, where her raging resulted in Boudica requesting a ban.

That struck me as the oddest thing of all--being so ticked off at someone you burn your own bridge out of disgust with him?

Of course that was LONG before I started following the Mod Forum chat room.

I don't get why people keep saying Aylaine is gone.

She came back recently and posts in the PubClub forum quite frequently.

Ehh, I remember a couple or three, for various reasons.

I remember Necroswanson who seemed like a normal internet guy, but he made an angry post too many. I remember NoMoreSanity, who was a decent guy when I spoke to him but probably deserved his banning. I remember MaxtheReaper, forum celebrity of a couple years back. I remember Furburt, now running his own forum with Hubilub. I remember Indigo_Dingo, mostly because of his 10000 post review of the Escapist. I remember Darth Mobius and Darth Empyrean, a forum couple. I remember Zeeky Santos and Fish Food Carl and Lord Cuthberton and RAKtheUndead and Richard Groovy Pants and Sean Hollyman and Swollen Goat and WanderFreak and Mathew94 and Avykins and IdealistCommi (who became Rocket Dog) and Demented Teddy and Pararaptor. I remember Mortai Gravesend.

I mean, you stick around for a while, you tend to remember the people who make a name for themselves by getting themselves banned, as well as those who simply gravitate away.

I don't remember why they were banned and I don't glorify them either - many were banned for good reasons. I simply remember they existed.
Wait wtf happened to Mathew94? And Mortai?

Man I've only been off for a couple months and everyone's gone :(
Mortai got banned for this [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.390353-This-kind-of-behaviour-at-cons-Eurogamer-KSI?page=11#15702501], and Matthew94 initially got suspended for insulting Mortai[footnote]small world[/footnote] here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.390265-Why-is-criticism-demonized-so-much#15675255], and then spammed a user group or something along those lines

As far as bannings I remember, besides the two above I remember Raktheundead and Bonsaik the most. Rak because his relationship threads were always hilarious, and Bonsaik because he had a lot of good advice for people

When you follow your own rules. That, is decent moderation. The escapist mods however, most of the time, do not, and are far to opinionated on when the rules apply, and apparently being in the publishers club or working for the escapist gets you a free pass to say and do what you want. And to be fair, that comment was an insert considering who most sites basically have no mod system beyond one guy with a keyboard and an attitude problem, so yes, The Escapist has got a great system of moderation comparitively. All I am saying is, if you are going to impose rules RE: banning and reporting, then you need to enforce them where they occur whenever they occur without fail rather than letting shit slide because of your own personal bias.

I'm in the Pub Club and they watch what I say pretty fiercely. Can you give any specific examples of Posters, any Posters, getting away to say and do what they want?

I don't wish to come off as confrontational D:, but I remember the sour poster who had such a hang up against "Forum Celebrities" but he/she just ranted, and when someone else asked for examples he/she got nasty and spoke in generalities. I don't recall who it was but witnessing the whole exchange left a bad taste in my mouth.

Him and Khar really had it out for each other.
Why did you refer to me when quoting me as if I was some other person?
....
In my defense you changed your picture so it was hard to notice.

Heh, yeah it all seemed a bit too real for him... seeing as how I remember at one point he was telling you that he loved you... xD

same with the banning too... taking it all personally cause he got in trouble for posting porn once, if I remember correctly...<.>
That fantastic little emotional mini series taught me to cool off the kindness a bit. Some people might take it the wrong way. T^T

Wait, porn? And I missed that? D: Not fair. >~>
[hr]

OT: HANKMAN. I remember him. Infact, his banning made me sad. I mean, I never interacted with him or anything like that but his puns were hilarious.

I'm beginning to suspect DVS_Bstrd is Hankman. <,<

I'm not talking about forum celebs, Arguably a couple of people in the banned list where in fact, forum celebrities. No, I mean once you stat giving the escapist money, the mods look the other way to a lot of stuff. Just because YOU are responsible and adhere to the rules does not mean everyone does likewise. I can't name anyone specific, but the number of times someone has come out with something that was either directly insulting or offensive in a wider context and gotten away with it because they were in pub club (Although only ever on R and P, that is the only vague example I can give, sorry, I haven't been active recently and therefore can't link anything recent) is staggering. And selective moderation is something that tends to pop up a lot between randomers, in what I would imagine is either laziness or MOD bias.
