Because of this children's game, I have converted to Islam, the great true faith.

Shouldn't parents be more worried that their kids are playing a game that encourages beating the crap out of people? What would tyhis guy say if he found out about some of the stuff in GTA?

I am sorry Andy, but i think you lack so much knowledge about Islamic culture.

Let me tell you this, 1400 years before extremists used this word "Allahu Akbar" before detonating themselves, or cheering in demonstrations, muslims used it in cheering in pleasant situations mostly. Like marriages, feasts, and victory in, for example, sports events. And of course in victory after wars! But believe me, it is said much more often in pleasant situations than in military or bad ones.

And believe me, if i, a muslim man, saw this coming out of a Turkish man's mouth, in such event, i wouldn't be surprised at all! I will never think terrorist or whatever! These are the eird ideas US mainstream media get into the heads of Americans to get ratings, or to just make a "Hollywood" effect in the news.

About what they are "trying to get in your children' mind", well i don't know how to judge this, because i am not American. But i don't think it's hostile, nor "extremist" to say "Allahu Akbar" is a situation like this. On the contrary, it's very suitable.

Oh my god, someone said one of the most oft-repeated phrases in the world in a video game!!! That's almost as bad as someone getting in trouble for saying goddammit in a video game.

Communism doesn't kill, people do.
Seriously.
You can say the same about Nazism.
I'm pretty sure that Communism's founding principle isn't* "Kill the Jews to make room for the superior race."
No, it's "Kill the bourgeoise to make room for the working folk"

*Fixed for you
Touche. At least the working folk had somewhat of a reason to go about the killing- the bourgeoise were mistreating them somewhat.

totaling all this you get a staggering 11.6 million dead or so.
1) Stalin alone killed 30-50 million people. You omitted events like the Great Ukrainian Hunger, murderous tactics enforced on Russian conscripts by the NKWD during WW2, Katyñ massacre, violent acts on German civilians.
2)Russia was not the only communist country (and not even the biggest) and communism has been around for almost 100 years.

(for the record the holocaust alone cost 21 million lives )
That is just impossible. There were not nearly that much Jews and Gypsies on the lands occupied by 3rd Reich, so unless you assume the other 15-19 million victims were Polish, it's a fictional number.
BTW These numbers are getting more and more ridiculous every year. When I learned history at school it was 2 million, then it was 6, now I hear 21. I'm not a Holocaust denier, but come on...

EDIT: i should point out that i`m not communist i actually beleive in a laissez-faire kind of democracy so i suppose i`m a conservative (republican to you yanks i beleive)
High five.
I can`t remember the exact figures for the katyn massacre or the various shortages of food caused by stalin`s various machintations so that does indeed push the number up i got the figures on the holocaust from wiki so exactly how true they are is a bit of a mystery but i remember something like 6 million alone were soviets (as in non-jews ,just communists) and i did post the official casualty rate for the ussr (or at least the one i remember from when i studed this but that was a while back) and das kapital (the founding book of what we would consider today to be communism, well vol 1 anyways) was published in 1863 so it`s well over a century actually

Mein Gott! Really, I can't make out what he's saying (without the prompts). It's only with the writing on the screen that you start to think you know what you heard. And so what? What difference does it make what he says? My guess is it's only because terrorism is the hot topic in the world at the moment so I expect the guy is trying to get publicity by claiming a game has Muslim (and therefore terrorist) ties - (no, I'm not suggesting that Muslim = terrorist, its just an explanation for what I think are his motives).

As far as I'm concerned its just someone/something else to be ignored.

It sounds to me like he's just growling or mumbling. And if he was saying "Allah Akbar!" you'd think he'd do just before releasing some super attack.
Please ,everybody knows the word to use before unleashing a special attack is hadoken
Pfeh! Sonic Boom beats Hadoken.
I've always liked "Falcon Punch" myself.

But yeah, I agree with 99% of the people on this thread with the issue at hand. Of all the things you can be enraged about, why is this your top priority? It's a freaking VIDEO GAME. Grow up jerkwad.

It's even worse than the whole Communism being evil and equating to Totalitarianism and Fascism that you hear right wing extremists saying in the US.
Now unless you explain to me how a system, in which every economical activity is being centraly steered and in which almost every human need has to be satisfied by the goverment, is not totalitarian, you officialy gain my Moron of the Day award.

(Please note that I made it easier for you omitted the fact that Communism killed 10 times as many people as Nazism)
Totalitarianism implies a dictatorship or a single party system that maintains control by brainwashing, restricting freedom of speech, and controlling all media sources and using them for propaganda. Communism, however, doesn't. Though there are similarities on the ideology of "common ownership", to state that they are one and the same is folly.
Also, political ideologies do not kill people. There haven't been many communist states before (I'm counting the USSR as one here), and most that are have also been totalitarian, which brings on this conception that communist states have to be totalitarian, which is not the case in theory at least.

For the record I am not a communist myself; I am a moderate socialist while also believing in the free market, so right wing economically.

Communism doesn't kill, people do.
Seriously.

Anyway, isn't that term occasionally used as a greeting, or am I confused agian?
You may be thinking of Salaam Allalaykum (sp?), a standard Arab/Muslim greeting (its roots are Muslim, but is almost the standard greeting in Arab cultures) sort of like "God be with you."

I stopped listening when I saw the "Don't Tread on Me" flag. I actually don't even talk to those types of people, because they're all so bored (OBAMA RAISED TAXES ON EVERYBODY MAKING MORE THAN %200,000 AND LOWERED MINE GET ME MY TEABAGS) just looking for a fight, no matter how minor an offense may be their fragile little psyches.

This is why Islam must be banned!

They cry and whine INFINITELY when someone so much as even says their prophet's name, doodle his character or misuses this phrase.

And let's not forget that they keep demanding rights for themselves while oppressing other people's rights.

One thing though. Has anyone ever heard a terrorist say "Allah Akbar" anywhere before?
Uhhh....Team America World Police? And that (like most Americans) is where I get all my facts about Islam.
Ya know, I'm worried you might be right.
