[HEADING=1]2052, President Allen Mackenzie aka "Fokallzin "Soul Crusher" Blooddrinker, The Dark Lord of Fireforge" has won the presidential race for the Democrats!

Four more years of Blooddrinker!!![/HEADING]

It's coming guys, maybe sooner, maybe latter. I just hope I'll be alive for it.

Stay on topic, stay on topic: These Republicans will really do anything these days for victory points. Like wild dogs fighting over a carcass. It's a sad state what democracy in America has turned to, and really in general for many countries. "Well the track records always been terrible, it's just more noticeable now I guess".

A politician who might at times inhabit a different world to the established old-white-men habitat? PANIC AND FLEE, GOOD VOTERS.

How unbelievably stupid. Partaking in imaginary videogame violence does not translate to any intent to act out said violence in the real world. Nor does it suggest that someone is a psychopath, except in the minds of those who struggle to separate imagination and harmless recreation from reality.

As a conservative, I am wholeheartedly sorry. I mean, some of the stuff is kinda-sorta-maybe legitimate, but they're obviously just grasping at straws here.

Due to the fact that the average gamer age (in the US) is 30 - 35, I fully expect this to backfire and to see her win by a landslide. Stupid backward redneck republicans.

The second is that press release from the Republican Party of Texas saying they want to take america back to the 50's in terms of gay and non-white rights, that science is just a theory and creationsim is the truth, that it shouldbe illegal for coporations to face any kind of ecological or economical regulations, etc etc. The first is that such a stupid and backwards party is one of the big two in the USA, where anywhere else it would be barely even counted as a party.
This is undoubtedly a fun result, but I'd like to believe you are aware that most Republicans try to ignore the ones you are talking about. Why yes, those morons DO believe they speak for all of us Republicans. Would you like to wager I can't find a bunch of morons who claim to be Democrats that would make you swear not to know them?
And therefore I would like to think that as a modern day Republican, you might choose to not vote Republican on the basis that the party platform is based on a litany of regressive economic and social ideas and policies. The problem is not individual crackpots, but a political party that actively campaigns against gay/lesbian and women's rights; cuts taxes for high income earners and expects the "benefits" to "trickle down"; denies basic, affordable health care for tens of millions of people; and wants citizens to be able to own and use military style automatic assault rifles. And that's the short list.

Yes there are extremist views on the political left, but I would suggest they are not represented in the national political discourse of the Democrats. If Republicans (or Democrats) disagree with their party's politics and stated values but do nothing, they are more culpable than anyone who blindly tows the line. Mitt Romney is Exhibit A for flipping his views to appease the hard right evangelical conservatives.

The composition of this piece makes it seem as though the Republicans are wantonly attacking this democratic candidate for her love of WOW. But, in reality, they're raising questions over her suggestive (and by suggestive I mean borderline crazy person, violent, [/b]socialist[/b] nonsense) talk in online WOW forums.
One of these is not like the others. How is being "socialist" a valid point of attack, except to people still stuck in a paranoid McCarthyist mindset?

None of what she said is crazy or suggestive of a violent personality, you're being led along by reactionary scaremongering.

Why is it troubling to knock on someone when they suggest killing people? The escapist rules state not to threaten other people/members. If I made a statement threatening your life Andy, the life of a politician, or any other member of the escapist, I'd be instabanned (DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT IN ANY WAY ADVOCATING FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST ANDY! HE'S (usually) AN AMAZING JOURNALIST WHOM I QUITE ENJOY (most of the time)! SENTENCE WAS MADE FOR ARGUMENT!).
None of said posts were actual or serious threats, nor could they be interpreted that way by reasonable standards. People say "I'm going to murder you!!!" or "You're dead!!!" all the time, either jokingly or as an expression of frustration without any murderous intent.

She's a senator from my home state of Maine and I must say I'm very proud. She'd have my vote easily is she was in my district. A senator who looks forward to "dick punching Arthas" is okay by me.

All well this wont have much political effect as the Indepent is expected to win by a fairly safe margin.

Huh, a Senate Candidate who plays an incredibly popular game, which, in my rose-tinted optimistic happy-place world means that she might actually be more in touch with those she's representing than any other candidate I've seen.

Were I American, she'd have won my vote.

Yes because healthy people never let off steam or relax and instead let there emotions boil over until they go on a murderous rampage... and stab people to death... wait...

Attacking someone for there past time is just about the dumbest thing ever. You might as well say playing golf means you can't run for office because its too much of a distraction. If you could show that she herself plays too much, you could have a point but just saying 'you play a game!' is just about as dumb as it gets. I can only imagine a bunch of 60 and 70 year old guys who don't understand games came up with this idea but at the same time they need the maturity of an 8 year old to think this is a good attack. Confusing that.

The central question of WoWgate is who thinks DPS atnds for Deaths Per Second? If that's actually part of a quote by Colleen Lachowicz, then she's clearly unfit for office. If that's something the people attacking her added, they just solidified the view of most people that they're totally clueless.

Mr. Chalk, you must get to the bottom of this for us.

Seriously?

Starting insanely expensive wars around the world? Blaming 9/11 on liberals? Anti-gay rampages? Bases on the Moon? Dogs tied to car roofs? Mocking the poor?

And this is what you find the most stupid and disturbing?

Just wait. In thirty years all major politicians will be required by the nature of society to have gamertags, just like all politicians today have to make a pretense of going to church.

I don't get it. Is there a special clause in the republican party doctrine that requires their members to look as foolish and out of touch as possible? I mean, they must have some good policies or something, they are an electable force afterall. But all I seem to hear about is baffling ridiculousness (though, as a British person who doesn't really follow American politics, I'm not gonna see the serious political articles). They really don't help the whole 'Americans are dumb' stereotype. I just don't understand how a serious political body can come off as so comical.

I can almost imagine Lord Baffledton:

"Gasp! A woman that is a politician! and she plays videogames in her spare time! And even more, she uses coarse language while playing said game! Surely she can never be allowed to be in charge of anything."

If this is the worst dirt they found on her, she`s pretty much a saint.
