I married Onmund from the college of Winterhold, mostly because he was the first male I found that had the marriage option. I would have married Lydia but she got shot into the sky by a giant and didn't make it.

No one yet. I'm 80 hours in and I've just read the you know what at you know where. I'm too busy buggering about stabbing things and nicking stuff to marry anyone. Lydia is just extra inventory space.

I'm still looking for a nice Partner for my manly, eloquent and filthy rich Orc Archmage Bachelor (250,000 Septims without even counting all that precious junk and jewelry at his property). I never thought it to be that difficult finding the right one. He has everything, power, money and awesome good looks, but Lydia started to refuse to carry his Stuff after he told her to carry home half a dwemer ruin of Artifacts and Solid Dwemer Metalchunks back home. Same goes for that Uflberth the Unbroken Tomboy. Was probably pretty humiliating to be beaten down in a tavern brawl by a mage no less but she seems to like the pain. (Kinky masocistic fetish anyone?)
She didn't like to carry those heavy dwarven Pottery around either. She starts refusing to carry things, too. So my Orc will probably leave her alone as well.

So anyone wanting to play Date-doctor?
Who is the right choice for my Orc?
Who is willing to carry all that Dwarven junk from those ruins around without being "huffy" (probably a bug) afterwards?
Are there any cute Orc-Ladies around? He only met that blacksmith at Markarth but she is rather ugly, well in worst case scenario she gets a nice Dragonbonehelmet anyway...
There are... two female orcs, I think? This is at least what I seem to remember from the Wiki.

As for "carrying your burdens", did you know that your followers can have unlimited inventory space? Provided you make them pick up items by ordering them to do so, rather than placing them directly in their inventory, they can pick up limitless amounts of crap. I've had Cicero carry entire Dwemer ruins in his pockets for me just so I can melt them down and sell the ingots :D Not that I need the Septims, as a thief I already have over 300,000, plus loads of high-end loot I've stashed and not even bothered to sell yet.

My dark elf thief assassin has been married four times, first to Muiri, then to Camilla, then to Sapphire. The first two I got sick of hearing about that contract and about "the claw", and Sapphire's attitude just bugged me. So I forced the game to let me marry Haelga who is HAWT :D

P.S. This is my first post here, so hello everyone. I actually made an account just now to comment on this thread, but I'll be sticking around for sure.

Welcome! :D And while we do very much appreciate people who know how to use the search thread button, I think since this thread was started nearly six months ago you would have been safe to start a new one :)

EDIT: Wait, never mind, you aren't the true culprit. It's whoever kept it going into February. Carry on~ And again welcome!

Aela of the companions.

Being both werewolves, full moon nights can get really intense between the sheets...

- Go to Riften.
- Speak about marriage with Mara's priest.
- Equip an amulet of Mara (it can be found in the world, or bought from the priest for 100) and some clothes that make it visible (formal clothes works well, avoid armor).
- Talk to people. To most people that you have made quests for, there should be a dialogue option (even those of the same sex).
- After you accept, go back to the temple of Mara in Riften.

Ysolda, though I kind of missed the wedding the first time round which she was not too happy about. Apparently trying to save the land from an invading army of dragons is not a valid excuse to be a week late for for your own wedding. Nor the fact that a poxy wedding could wait if it meant that a dragon would not be using the wedding guests' bones as tooth picks. Needless to say the Dovahkiin slept on the couch that night....

I would have married Brynjolf if I could have, but I ended up settling on Balimund on my first character. I don't have a man for my second, I haven't decided what I'm doing with her yet.

No one yet. Probably going to be Brelyna Maryon of the College of Winterhold. Never thought it would be a Dunmer.

On my first play-through,I married Lydia because I figured she'd be more useful at the house in Whiterun making money for me than she would dying in every.fricking.dungeon.....ever.

But on my second playthrough,I'm marrying Aela after she turns me into a werewolf. My plan is that one day,she will have my human/werewolf/dragon babies and after we teach them how to fight, we will spread our brand of terror across Skyrim in a campaign of blood, steel, and fur the like of which none have seen since the Oblivion Crisis in the 4th Era!........I also heard she makes a pretty good venison stew, but its mostly the blood and fur thing.

Brelyna Maryon.
A useful follower with a nice voice, what's not to like?

But I have yet to marry on my current play-through.

Isolda seems to be N°1 choice here, right?

You know she is a drug dealer?
She runs quite a profitable Sleeping Tree Sap buisness...
You know that Sleeping Tree Sap is addictive and maybe even illegal?
It's not illegal, and I have yet to see anything suggesting it is addictive.

I married Ysolda, but she's dead now. After seeing another man in my house for the second time I decided that it was time for a divorce, my style. I killed Lydia too, because she was there all the time and never informed me of anything.
Those people follow you into the house because you went inside during their banter.
So that is quite the mistake you've made there.

Y'know, if I hadn't heard people talking about marrying people in Skyrim I would have had no clue you could do it at all.

Granted, the way I play Bethesda games is: Don't take the non-invincible NPCs for granted. Rack up as much mindless murder as you can before you feel the itch but cant kill somebody that's annoying the hell out of you.

Also, the child killing mod is THE BEST addition to Skyrim available.
