I'm too goody goody for him apparently...that is, I was too goody goody for him until I blew up megaton, and now he's dead, but yes, I know he kicks ass, I've fought against him.

You actually went into the battlefield? You know if you go right in front of the door to the GNR, he can't get there so you could pick him off little by little and he'll never go to you. He's too big and he only has melee but I guess yours made a better video than what mine would've been.

Mate, you can get the Fat Man nuke launcher from a dead soldier nearby. If i wanted to i would make the fight a 1 hit kill. But what fun would that be?

Actually I'm not sure item finds are 100% set in stone... I think it has to do with luck. (in-game and RL )

Just like encounters aren't set... some guy found a rocket-launcher using raider early on in the game I hear... While I only encountered them after I got enclave power armor. (it was like... robocop or something. I kept coming very very slowly because I was holding 3 power armors.)

Good point. This happened in Oblivion very often as well.

Yeah, I rescued a captive and once he gave me two purified waters(which I really needed at that point) and the next he gave me a few spare parts, it's really a crapshoot, even with high luck

I found a fat man at the PD. I don't use big guns though not to mention how expensive mini-nukes are.

Small Guns..Hunting Rifle+2 headshots kill super mutants so I am pretty happy. I got like 8 hunting rifles...6 Assault Rifles..2 SMGS..4 Chinese Assault Rifles.. So I am pretty damn sure I will be able to take down that behemoth.

That damn behemoth - I did the rivet city mission first so when I went to go to the GNR building everyone outside bar one paladin was dead. He didn't last long and then killing the behemoth and the mutants took forever on my own.

Mind you, made a fucking fortune trading all the power armor to the Outcasts...

meh I already beat the game. Let it be known the ending is an amalgam of script and pictures depending on what you did.

if you were good, bad, neutral when you beat the game and only when you beat the game. You could be evil 90% of the game and be good at the end(like me) and receive the "good" ending. Which is basically

I've just been having fun with havok engine

I shot a raider in the head.. his head explodes.. AND he does a backflip from the force of the bullet..

I had a ^_^ moment at that one for sure.

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to miss this quest, as that fucking kid will chase you to the ends of the world crying about his dad.

It's like "PLEASE HELP MY DAD! THOSE THINGS ARE AFTER HIM!"

then you come back and tell him his dad's dead and he's like "Oh, ok."

I still didn't get all of this VATS stuff trough...

My logic was. Big monster holding big thing in arm. I VAT arm. Arm fall. Me happy. Monster cry.

Btw is the hunting rifle worth it? That piece of junk is too inaccurate for my taste..

At that range, all you need is a combat shotgun and aim at the head.

Eh, Combat shotgun degrades to fast. Hunting rifle allows for 3 shots at level 8 agility...More then enough to put down a regular super mutant. Not to mention quite a few super mutants carry hunting rifles so you can turn their weapons in to repair your hunting rifle.

Any tips on how to take down the super mutant brutes (usually the ones with mini-guns) quick?

Again. Aim for the head. If you can't take them down quick enough and they do major damage and you don't want their weapons you could shoot the weapons out of their hands so they have to fist you. Also, Thats why I said I was calling myself that lol.

Surly the combat shotgun degrades so fast as some form of balance - it's so powerful that being able to use it for as long as a rifle would throw things off. Mind you with a huge repair rating and after ripping apart the talon camp I've been able to push the rating so high even the shotgun barely feels like it degrades.

Anyway, off to play with a certain artificial persons very special rifle...

That doesn't make sense, the shotgun is only powerful in really really close quarters so i still don't get the degradation rate.

In a mid field battle Submachine gun > Shotgun.
Close quarters Shotgun > Submachine gun.
Long distance Submachine gun > Shotgun.

Replace submachine gun with about any other weapon in the game except the flamethrower or a melee weapon and the shotgun is ineffective. My point is that the quick degradation is silly.

I would like to point out that the sniper is infintly better. More accurate at a distance with the same power. Hunting rifle is a weaker substitute if you run low on ammo.

Can someone help me find Big Town? I can't find it and that kid is TOO annoying.

Bah i never get any ammo for the bloody thing, at the moment i have 5 bullets and only want to spend them when i really need them....I'm looking at you mutant gorillas! *shakes fist*

I pick them off traders when I can. I only have 30 rounds myself.
