I...

...what?

No, just...no...

Tyra, sweety, seriously...take your head out of your ass and think for a moment. Do you think that every girl wants to become an anorexic twig that gets into a catfight with other twigs at the drop of a hat? That every girl wants to be an absolute ***** whose only skill seems to be staring angrily at a camera? That every girl wants to be ogled at by men who are most likely perverts who want nothing more than to rape the girl on the cover of their Seventeen Magazine?

No...you're even worse than the feminists who think none of the young girls want to be princesses like Ariel, Snow White, and so on. You're just so wrong, that I'm contemplating if the thirty seconds of fame your craptastic, horribly dramatic, American Idol rip-off of a show is going to your head. Retire, you have the money to do it, and then no one has to look at your ugly ass face ever. EVER again.

Could somebody fill me in on why the place is called Modelland (Model land)? That is, I know Tyra's got that Top Model show, even tried to watch it once, too boring, though; what I wonder is what the book has to do with that title.

Heh heh, I'm gonna pronounce it "modeyand" like spanish people do when there are two "l"s.

I'm so diabolical it hurts.

I just love the arrogance behind the idea.
That she's comparable to author's who are, in fact, genius'.
That every little girl wants to be... her.
That the only way to become like her is through a fantasy book.

This will fall flat on its arse.

Now.. I..

..Words cannot express the blatan- Oh look, my brains! ..Wait a moment.

This is wrong.. on so many levels.

Tyra's self-inflatuation (if that is the correct term) will lead to a new low in literature.

I would sincerely like a Nazgul to rip off her hands.

"How shall we make money?"

"Like, how about we market a book that's, like, one of those old books, but with sexy things, girls and, it's like totally rad?"

"I like it, those gullible twats will eat it up!"

Does she not see how badly her reputation is going to get ripped on and destroyed in certain circles?

You think you got it bad Tom? I've been living in El Paso for the past few years--that double L? Down here, they pronounce it with a "Y" sound, making it more eye-twitchingly irksome for me. Imagine reading "Mod-ay-and" as you read "Muddle-and", having to constantly tell yourself that it's not either of those. And that's not even counting when my Puerto Rican friend is around, because that Y sound then becomes a J sound. Now that's irksome.

This is just laughable... But in a bad, very bad way, in a way that makes me want to cry (don't worry, I won't ;) ). And telling us how to pronounce "Modelland"???... *giggles*
Seriously, Tyra Banks, the next J.R.R. Tolkien?? (Never mind that there will never be another J.R.R. Tolkien, because that man and his works were *that* special) Maybe she should just stick to making men's heart (among other things) all aflutter as she struts herself in lingerie.
Oh, here's another thing, Ms. Banks. Not all little girls grow up wanting to be models. Some of them grow up wanting to be doctors, computer programmers, archaeologists or veterinarians. Just sayin'.
