Because it is a sinful, sinful, practice which will cause innocent children to grow up to become rapists and destroy the foundations of the American way of life if we allow it to continue. (Obviously...)

I seemed to be confused by some people's thoughts in this thread...

I doubt "Americans" as a whole said "we do not want this game".

I mean, was there a vote cast? Guess I missed the announcement...

Anyway on topic: Shame really. Weird game, but I can see some fun times come out of this. Like many other party games. Oh well maybe we'll get the next one.

As others have already said...thank god that shit isn't coming out over here. It's embarrassing and looks like a complete waste of time and money. Not to mention that the actions are GREATLY exaggerated in that trailer anyway. I think Ubisoft is more embarrassed by the game rather then us being too conservative. Seriously, the game looks like ass.

I'm so glad Ubisoft took the initiative to protect my fragile childlike psyche. Now please excuse me while I go back to finagling a threesome after a hard day's slaughter in Dragon Age.

In case anyone's curious, this is the best remixed version of that trailer I've seen:

OT, maybe they just figured the game won't sell well here (for good reason). Does anyone really miss the opportunity to pass up on yet another shovelware game?
My god that is A-fuckin' hilarious!

Well I certainly expected it to receive some kind of criticism but rejecting it is a tad too harsh.

So, anybody remember that episode of Extra Credits when they talked about pirating games you can't legally get? Is this one of those situations, or is the Wii region free?

EDIT:I'm not really serious about the situation, I just want to know if the Wii is region free.

... what?

I'm really... umm... no I... I'm really at a loss of words here.

...

no really. On the one hand I feel mildy sickened by the thought of the media storm resulting in this game, feeling simultaneously happy that this game won't ever grace our bargin bins at local gamestops and outlet stores and saddened by the fact that it's because of an immature slice of American culture that it's being withheld. I'll say I'm not really all for this game ever having be made in the first place, but since it was it feels wrong that it's being withheld. Heck, it feels wrong that it feels wrong that it wont be released; and that's not even a typo.

I guess I should be glad that it won't reach our shores but... really America? Is this the way we're painting ourselfs?!

Gah!

The most enjoyable part of this thread is reading that people actually want and are looking forward to this shovelware.

I doubt very much this game would see any sales anyways. Despite being a very adult game, the singles who would play the game would instead mingle in the real world with more then 4 people, and the people who want to buy this game to play with chicks will immidiately find themselves sitting alone doing nothing. So singles who are single because they want to be will not want to buy this game, singles who are single because they don't want to be will buy this game but be extremely disapointed, and parents will ***** about it when they walk into their teenage sons room spanking a 12 year old girls ass.

Overall, it is best that this game does not hit shelves in North America at all. Our Society is to stupid for any intimacy of that... type (Actually, any intimacy all together). Besides, we don't need to give any more ammunition to the people who wish to cut games away from North America all together. Or at least that is my take on the situation.

So...America ban all the sex, Australia ban all the violence...

Puts paid to the repressed stereotype of us Brits, doesn't it? :)

(Not that I'd want anything like that, but it's nice to still have the choice)

Couldn't the ESRB just put the game at an AO rating?
That would also effectively ban it in the US, since no store will carry an AO rated game.
Besides, Fox and Friends would still claim it was targeted towards children (the same they do with all the M rated shooters), and many millions of people would sheepishly believe them too.

Looking at the ad, the game itself isn't very sexual. It's how you play it.

Like Twister.
