Hmm, maybe, in my experience with them Obsidian is capable of insanely good games, and if anyone can make an Elder Scrolls game as good as Bethesda it's them. But as others stated Bethesda's had close to 20 years of experience with the Elder Scrolls, so Elder Scrolls is practically in their blood.
But if Bethesda consulted with Obsidian a bit so they knew what NOT to change in regards to lore and what Argonians look like and such I could see this working. Both Bethedsa and Obsidian would be giving the games the proper amount of time, but with this leap-frog release schedule we'd get them more often, I think it could work if it ever happened.
