If I was you I would stop reading The Night Watch and get hold of Guards Guards, start from the beginning.
That is exactley what it stands for, twas a username from nearly ten years ago which I kept using due to it's originality. However as I headed toward teaching as a career I started to play around with it. Lots of people allready shortened it to IEC so adding an extra bit was easy after that.

It's been a long hard read but finally the end is in sight, having said that i'm really enjoying it and would certainly recommend it.

While there are elements of objectivism in the game it certainly is not a condensed version of AS. In fact there are very few similarities between the two.
